Saint Lucia (UK: /sənt luːˈsiːə, –ˈluːʃə/ (listen), US: /seɪnt ˈluːʃə/ (
listen); French: Sainte-Lucie) is an island country in the West Indies in the eastern Caribbean Sea on the boundary with the Atlantic Ocean.[8] The island was previously called Iyonola, the name given to the island by the native Arawaks, and later Hewanorra, the name given by the native Caribs, two separate Amerindian peoples. Part of the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles, it is located north/northeast of the island of Saint Vincent, northwest of Barbados and south of Martinique. It covers a land area of 617 km2 (238 square miles) and reported a population of 165,595 in the 2010 census.[9] St. Lucia’s largest city is Castries, its current capital, and its second-largest is Soufrière, the first French colonial capital on the island.
The French were the first Europeans to settle on the island. They signed a treaty with the native Island Caribs in 1660. England took control of the island from 1663 to 1667. In ensuing years, it was at war with France 14 times, and the rule of the island changed frequently. In 1814, the British took control of the island. Because it switched so often between British and French control, Saint Lucia was also known as the “Helen of the West” after the Greek mythological character, Helen of Troy.
Representative government came about in 1840. Universal suffrage was established in 1953. From 1958 to 1962, the island was a member of the West Indies Federation. On 22 February 1979, Saint Lucia became an independent state and a member of the Commonwealth of Nations as a Commonwealth realm.[8] Saint Lucia is a mixed jurisdiction,[10] meaning that it has a legal system based in part on both the civil law and English common law. The Civil Code of St. Lucia of 1867 was based on the Quebec Civil Code of 1866, as supplemented by English common law-style legislation. It is also a member of Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.[11]
Specific hotel accommodations will be received within a few weeks of the trip with our trip packages and details
Yes. During the checkout section, select the “Partial.ly” payment option. This option will allow you to choose your deposit and flexible payment plan. Any plan that’s in default will be canceled, or they may be a $75 fee to reinstate it. In the event of a canceled/defaulted plan on an item that has since changed in price (up or down), the NEW PRICE WILL BE ADDED ON THE REOPENED PLAN once you decide to reopen the account.
You will receive several emails and several attempts to make payments before the plan defaults.
All packages must be paid in full 45 days before the event or pay an additional $150 late fee per person. This event is on a first come first serve basis and may sell out before the actual date. (if you’re on a Partial.ly payment plan, you have nothing to worry about!)
Yes, you can adjust your package if you want to add or subtract people or add additional days to your package. Any changes are subject to a $150 change fee.
All packages are non-refundable due to contractual obligations unless travel insurance is purchased. Travel Insurance is available for an additional cost per person. Refunds will not be provided due to a roommate’s cancellation. Trips can be transferred to another person for the existing trip only (request via email). If you miss your flight, it is your responsibility to reach out to the hotel directly, and Urban Events Global to let us know that you are still arriving, or it will be assumed that you are forfeiting your room. Urban Events Global is not responsible for any changes in flights or cancellations. All deposits and payments are non-refundable due to hotel and transportation contractual obligations unless travel insurance is bought.
Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) is the primary airport serving Saint Lucia.
Unfortunately not. Our events are private and will require wristbands which are included in the package automatically.
Yes, and we will adjust your rate. You have until the deadline to make room changes.
If the roommate you selected cancels, your rate will adjust to the revised (single person)rate or you can replace them. Any cancelations within 60 days of the event are your responsibility, however, we will try our hardest to help you replace them. If Urban Events Global matched you with a roommate, and that roommate cancels, we would try to replace the individual, or we would take responsibility for the cost (your cost will NOT change.)
It is recommended that you get event insurance that protects against travel and weather issues.

“Roommates must declare occupancy of single, double, triple, etc. If a roommate drops out and is not replaced, the rate will be revised to the proper occupancy or the roommate can be replaced by you. If a guest is needing a roommate, we highly recommend booking a 2-person package, and Urban Events Global will work to match the guest with a roommate. If a 3 or 4-person package is booked by a guest who needs a roommate, we will try our best to accommodate the roommate’s needs by the time of the trip, however, this can be challenging at the last minute. If the additional roommate requests are not able to be accommodated, the guest is responsible for the package rate that applies to them. If Urban Events Global has booked your roommate, we will handle the changes. Reminder: ALL PRICES ARE LISTED PER PERSON.”
There is a mandatory incidental deposit taken at check-in by either credit/debit card or via a cash deposit.
