Urban Camp Weekend Summer 2022 Social Media Scavenger Hunt

Welcome to Urban Camp Weekend Summer 2022! We are so happy you are here and want this to be a fun, relaxing experience for you. We created this game for you to step out and meet other awesome campers in person and online! Please read the instructions and join in (reading is fundamental!) We’ll have prizes of up to $3,000 in the form of cash, tickets/credits to events, etc… First place will be $500 to the team, and a $175 credit per member to any 2022/2023 event! (2nd and 3rd prize are cool too… just not as cool as first!)

Instructions for participation (not as long as it looks):

Most of the contest will take place on the campground, but posted on social media, mainly (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat, etc…) Don’t worry, if you’re not on all of those platforms, it’s ok!  If you are, make sure you’re using our hashtags, tagging us, and “@-ing” us for bonus points (the most points win!)  This contest starts… Now… June 15th, 2022.  Tracking all of the posts will take some time, but we have a very patient team working behind the scenes to find all of our hashtags, and your team hashtags (ex. #UrbanCampWeekend #TeamKnight #UCWScavengerHunt) Keep in mind, we realize all of that may not fit, but we’ll find it if you incorporate the main hashtag. (pay attention to the *bonus points).

  • IG and FB posts will receive extra points
  • To enter the Scavenger Hunt, simply post your team group picture to a team member’s public Instagram page, tag @urbancampweekend and GO!  (yes, we realize your team may not be together until Friday, however, you can find a creative way to post them in advance!)
  • ALL posts must have the hashtags #UrbanCampWeekend & #UCWScavengerHunt when/if it fits.
  • The group should be no more than four (4) people.
  • Please feel free to post more than one photo on a post…
  • The Scavenger Hunt will end on Sunday, June 26th at 11pm CST. So hopefully, we can announce the winners online Sunday afternoon or earlier!
  • Be creative – videos and IG stories are always a plus!
  • Have fun, meet new people and enjoy!

Finally, the good stuff.

  • Required: Group picture– Post your team group picture to a team member’s public Instagram account before Friday, June 24th, 7 pm CST to enter the Scavenger Hunt. Please be sure to tag @urbancampweekend and use the hashtags #UrbanCampWeekend & #UCWScavengerHunt. *300 points
  • Camp Commercial-Share camp with someone new! Post a video commercial talking about what camp is and your experience. *175 points
  • UCW Cribs: Tent/RV Edition – Show us how you’re living at camp by posting a “cribs” style video! *75 points
  • Camp Must-Have– Take a group photo with one thing you can’t camp without. *20 points
  • Welcome BACARDI to the party! Shoot a Bacardi video ad including the Bacardi family of brands. Be sure to use the hashtags  #UrbanCampWeekend #Bacardi #DoWhatMovesYou #StirCreativity #StillHouse #UnbreakableSpirit *100 bonus
  • Support Black Owned Business– Take a candid group photo of your team visiting with a vendor, and tag the vendor. *30 points
  • Go Team! Show some team spirit and take a photo spelling your team name using camp items – be creative! *20 points
  • #CampChallenge – Take a video of your team doing a new dance challenge – make it up & be creative! Include the hashtag #campchallenge. *75 bonus points
  • Camp Tees– Find someone wearing the oldest and/or newest camp t-shirt & take a picture with that person. (Team and staff members are excluded)
  • Top Model – Take a video reel of your team modeling your camp swag. *15 bonus points
  • Taste of Camp – Take a video of your team eating the best camp bites. *15 bonus points
  • Wet n’ Wild – Take a video of your team frolicking on Saturday on the water obstacles or water volleyball. *15 bonus points
  • Camp Vet, Vet– Take a picture with a person who has been to at least three (3) camps. (Team and staff members are excluded) 60 points
  • Camp Shenanigans – Take a video of your team playing fun, outdoor games. *25 points
  • Camp Newbies– Take a picture with a person who is attending camp for the first time. (Team members are excluded) *75 points
  • Camp Karaoke – Take a video of your team doing karaoke. *35 points
  • Cheers to Camp Life– Take a group boomerang photo of your team toasting at the Bacardi Happy Hour. *40 points
  • Camp Cousins– Post a video with your camp “relatives” singing “We Are Family!” (Staff members are excluded.) *30 points
  • Blame It – Post a video of you and your group making a camp “drink” with a Bacardi family of brands product. *100 points
  • Camp Counselor – post a photo with your team and the founder of Urban Camp Weekend.  *50 points (bonus points if he doesn’t have a two-way radio on him (walkie-talkie) *200 bonus points
  • Helping Hand– Post a video of your group helping someone not on your team put up their tent. *50 points
  • Who is UEG?– Find our next 4 events on social media, and comment, share or repost the flyers… *100 points
  • Practice Makes Perfect! Post a video or picture of you practicing putting up your tent! (even if you’re at camp already) *20 points
  • Don’t Mess With Texas! Post a picture of your team next to a trashcan at camp! *20 points
  • Black Travel Tube– Follow them and tag them in a post! (they have a new IG page) *100 bonus points
  • Theme Party – Have a photo taken of you & your team in your theme outfits. *30 points
